Charter of Production
Close the eyes, here you are in good hands

For 15 years we have been listening in order to satisfy.
To the best of our ability in the face of both our climate and terroir, we produce wines every year which are never identical but always good: that's what we call a vintage.
Guaranteed by our charter of production, the quality of the wines of Château de la Grave constitutes the bond between you and us.

Respect for the environment
Use of adapted phytosanitary treatment recommended for production within the framework of sustainable development.
Use of organic products only; no chemicals are used.
No chemical weed control between rows of vines.
No chemical insecticides.
Biological insect control protects auxiliary fauna.
Purification station for the treatment of all wine-growing waste products.

Quality Control in the Vineyards
Plot-by-plot management and wine-to-bottle traceability.
Analysis of soil and sub-soil to bring out the best of the terroir.

High density: 5 500 vines/ha.
Yield control of 50 - 60 hl/ha (controlled pruning, debudding and thinning)
Alternation of ploughing and grass growth between rows of vines.
Thinning of leaves promotes a healthier and better-quality maturing of the grapes.

Hand-picking using crates for the rosé wine.
Repeated sorting: on the vine and in the cellars.
Machine harvest for red and white wines.

Vinification and maturing in pure Bordeaux tradition
